Web bookings through ExpressBooker
SmartMove's web booking system, ExpressBooker, allows customers an unprecedented level of control.
Unlike other booking forms, the customer does not just fill in a form, click the send button, and hope for the best. The SmartMove software allows the customer to create a booking, modify or cancel that booking, and view the status of the booking in real time. Each booking is assigned a unique booking number at the time of booking.
So the customer is able to monitor their job as it progresses from the queue to dispatch. SmartMove's ExpressBooker is designed for regular customers and corporate clients, and requires the customer to have Java* installed on their computer.
With Express Booker, registered account customers can charge their bookings to their account on a booking-by-booking basis. Special instructions can be given to the driver (eg, 'Please come to the side gate'), just as if this request had been made to a telephone operation.

*Java is a computer programming language created by Sun Microsystems. Java is used mainly on the Internet often as 'applets' run within a Java-compatible browser (ref). Many personal computers already have Java installed for other applications, for example, on-line banking.
